Toni Akers the author of a newly published book, “Recognize” is an ordained minister, a doctor of theology and a former Assistant Pastor of Commonwealth Community Church.  The founder and president of a women ministry; “T.E.A. Inc.; Teaching and Equipping with an Anointing located in Chicago, Illinois.   At T.E.A. she holds monthly Tea Parties for women in the Chicago area using bible principles to teach a better way of living.  Women from all over Chicago and surrounding Suburbs have attended one or more of her powerful sessions.  In addition, she is a teacher, preacher, and is also gifted by God in the area of healing and deliverance.  To add to her gift of healing, she is a certified herbalist and license cosmetologist.  While ministering to women, she has also ministered to many men.  She has appeared on TV and on several local radio stations.  Toni believes that when she accepts a speaking engagement it is an assignment from God with signs and wonders following.  She has been to the Holy Land and teach workshop and facilitate book-club sessions throughout Chicago.  Currently, she runs a homeless shelter for women and children, and work with churches to help them build their women ministry.  Toni’s testimony will walk you through a background of homelessness and other hardship she overcame with the help of the Holy Spirit.
