From the beginning of her life, Monica Young-Freeman was challenged. She was born into a family that was no stranger to struggling to survive. Early on Monica learned that it was necessary to take care of herself. However, in the midst of living a life in the world, she was never able to deny the presence or power of God in her life. Her vision of one day discovering God’s will for her life kept her from being consumed by the false lure of worldly things.

Chicago native, Monica Young-Freeman,Shares her experiences of once being a victim of domestic Violence and survival through the Grace of God in her autobiographical book,  "Loosed, As I went I was healed".  Monica shares her story across the country hoping that other survivors and victims will know that she too shares the same experience and  hopes others will be more pro-active in this cause.
